This Year’s Ugotta Regatta Will Be the Biggest Ever (but we’ll need a lot of help to pull it off) Will you sign up now so we know we can count on you? Let us help you find a role that fits your interests and abilities. There are FOUR main areas where members jump in to help.
With 100 boats racing, we’ll need more support boats and volunteers on the water than ever before. Click on the “On the Water” sign up sheet to see who’s going to be out there and what is still needed. If you want to help but you aren’t sure how you’ll fit in, contact Jack Carruthers (firstname.lastname@example.org)
At Ugotta Regatta, we are as proud of the parties as we are of the racing. We couldn’t pull it off without our volunteer bartenders, cashiers, and helpers. Click on the “On Shore” sign up sheet to see who is already on the party patrol and how you can join the fun. If you want to get in on the action, but aren’t sure how, contact Julie Matthews (email@example.com).
On Saturday and Sunday morning, the Pancake Crew is up at the crack of dawn to serve a big pancake breakfast including eggs, sausage, fruit, juice, and coffee to the sailors and the entire community. This is an exciting place to be in the morning as the boats head out. Plus, it is a fundraiser for our own Little Traverse Sailors. Volunteers and food contributions are needed. Click on the Pancake Breakfast sign up sheet to see how you can help. Have questions? Contact Nancy Sauer (firstname.lastname@example.org).
This year is a very special year because LTYC is hosting a North American Championship within Ugotta Regatta. Volunteers are needed to measure sails, check equipment on boats, weigh in crew, and help with registration. Click on the J/105 sign up sheet to find out how you can be part of the championship team. Want to find out more about how to help? Contact Jane Enterline (email@example.com).
You are going to love being part of LTYC’s signature event, we promise! Go ahead and volunteer. You’ll have a blast being part of the regatta scene. Not only that, volunteers get a ticket to the Irish Boat Shop party the Friday night before the races.
LTYC uses Signup Genius to organize volunteer signups for big events. If you need any extra help or want to sign up over the phone, call the Club Manager, Daniel DeWindt (firstname.lastname@example.org) at the office: 231-526-7919.
