Racing Rules Seminar — June 16, 1:00 – 4:00pm

Do you have questions?  Do you ask yourself things?  Perhaps: What ever happened to “mast abeam” anyway? Or: Is it really barging if I pretend not to hear the hails from the leeward boat?  Maybe: If I foul two boats and plow over the leeward mark, do I do one circle, two circles, three circles? Or … five? And: why can’t you get provolone on your burger at the Club?

These questions and many more—well maybe not that last one—will be answered at the first annual LTYC Racing Rules Seminar, taking place Sunday afternoon June 16 from 1-4pm at the LTYC Clubhouse.  Sailing Director Dan Thompson will lead a discussion about the recent changes to the Racing Rules of Sailing, common areas of confusion and dispute, and some general thoughts about how the rules can be used to achieve better results on the racecourse.

Tune up for the summer ahead and join us for an informal, informative, and lively discussion! This event is supported by your Club Racing fees and is free to all LTYC members and their guests. Register using this link: https://ltyc.org/RulesSeminar

Note that the date is Father’s Day.  So, bring your dad!
