Behind the scenes, Little Traverse Yacht Club is managed in two parts: Little Traverse Yacht Club handles Sailboat Racing while Little Traverse Sailors handles the education side of sailing such as Cruising and Sailboat Instruction for both adult in Exit Strategy, a J/105, and for youth in Lidos and Pixels.

In 2010, Little Traverse Sailors also took over management of the Junior RacingTeam – teenagers typically 13-18 years of age.  In that way, a specific, consistent progression of learning, skills and fun could extend for kids from their first experience at sailing at age 8 all the way to  potential college sailing teams and beyond at age 18.

Because of its small size and non-profit nature,  Little Traverse Yacht Club’s business side is managed by a third party professional.  Questions and assistance on club business issues such as membership applications, dues payments, accounting, event registration, merchandise sales, etc. can be found at the club business office, located away from the clubhouse and waterfront.   See below for directions to the Fairview Office Center.
